Dopo tanti articoli dedicati ai vari passaggi realizzativi di questo mio He-162 D, eccomi finalmente a mostrare il caccia completato in ogni sua parte. Con mia somma gioia, il coprente opaco non mi ha dato problemi ed ha reso pienamente visibili i lavori di invecchiamento svolti sul modello. Sono sempre in ansia quando viene il momento di stendere ad aerografo la copertura opaca causa spiacevoli esperienze passate ma, facendo tesoro dei traumi precedenti, tutto è andato per il meglio e sono molto soddisfatto del risultato finale che vi mostro qui di seguito.

Non mancano alcuni difetti su cui, però, ho deciso di non accanirmi per l’alto rischio di peggiorare le cose. Per chi fosse curioso di sapere quali siano le imperfezioni che ho riscontrato, le elenco qui di seguito ben consapevole che occhi più esperti ne troveranno altre: è visibile il contorno di alcune vecchie decal, il cupolino non è perfettamente allineato con la cabina e il portellone del carrello posteriore destro è un po’ più aperto di quello sinistro. Non posso giudicare quanto grave sia tutto ciò ma penso di poter dire che la colorazione e l’invecchiamento di questo modello siano riusciti molto bene. Ne sono profondamente soddisfatto anche e soprattutto perché è un risultato ottenuto applicando tecniche per me assolutamente nuove. E’ sempre bello quando nuove sfide si concludono con successo.

 After many articles dedicated to the various stages of construction of my He-162 D, I finally show the fighter completed in all its parts. To my great joy, the matte cover did not give me any problems and made fully visible the weathering done on the model. I am always anxious when it comes time to airbrush the opaque cover because of unpleasant past experiences but, treasuring the previous traumas, everything went well and I am very satisfied with the final result that I show below.

There are some flaws on which, however, I decided not to dogged for the high risk of making things worse. For those who are curious to know what are the imperfections that I found, I list them below knowing that more experienced eyes will find others: you can see the outline of some old decals, the canopy is not perfectly aligned with the cockpit and the door of the right rear landing gear is a little more open than the left. I can’t judge how bad is all this but I think I can say that the coloring and the weathering of this model are very good. I am very satisfied also because it is a result obtained by applying techniques absolutely new to me. It’s always nice when new challenges end with success.
