Nutro un vero e proprio culto per i soldatini della Alpine Miniatures. La ragione non risiede solo nella qualità eccelsa dei figurini e del loro dettaglio ma anche e soprattutto per la postura dei soggetti rappresentati. In un mercato che offre ogni possibile variante di uno stesso modello, riuscire a farsi notare non è facile. In molti casi, Alpine Miniatures riesce a conquistare la mia preferenza grazie a figurini estremamente cool come quelli rappresentati in questo “WSS Panther Crew Set” (codice 35107).

Non tutte le proposte di Alpine Miniatures sono degne di particolare nota, il catalogo è molto vasto e non si può pretendere che ogni nuova uscita sia un capolavoro. Nemmeno si può negare che capitino soggetti ripetitivi e scontati. Ciononostante, Alpine Miniatures riesce spesso nella difficile impresa di realizzare figurini che definirei cinematografici tanto sono dinamici nella postura ed affascinanti nell’aspetto complessivo. Il risultato è così intrigante da desiderarne un acquisto compulsivo nonostante il risultato finale dipenda molto dalle capacità pittoriche del singolo modellista.

Il duo di carristi tedeschi oggetto di questo set è, a mio parere, fra i migliori soggetti mai proposti da Alpine Miniatures. Benché protetti dalle loro divise invernali imbottite e da guanti pesanti, i due soldati sembrano sferzati da un vento gelido che solleva i lembi del cappello di pelliccia di uno dei due. Con lo sguardo rivolto verso l’elemento ignoto che ha attratto la loro attenzione, la coppia di carristi è intenta a manipolare i grossi proiettili da 7.5 cm destinati ai letali cannoni che equipaggiavano i carri “Panther”. Il quadro così composto è semplicemente spettacolare.

Il “WSS Panther Crew Set” è degno di nota non solo per le ragioni sopra descritte ma anche per l’originale suddivisione dei pezzi. I proiettili sono scolpiti tutt’uno con le mani che li afferrano. E’ così garantita una naturalezza che rasenta la perfezione poiché l’osservatore ha la concreta sensazione del peso degli stessi.

Tutto è splendidamente dettagliato e riprodotto. La scultura è precisa in ogni elemento, compresi fregi e distintivi. Come usuale, il set propone due diverse teste per ciascun figurino così da permettere al modellista di scegliere quella che più lo aggrada.

Personalmente non riesco a trovare difetti i questo set Alpine Miniatures di cui consiglio vivamente l’acquisto anche se ormai commercializzato parecchi anni fa.

I have a true cult for the Alpine Miniatures figures. The reason is not only the excellent quality of the figures and their detail, but also the posture of the subjects represented. In a market that offers every possible variant of the same model, getting noticed is not easy. In many cases, Alpine Miniatures wins my favour thanks to extremely cool figures such as those represented in this “WSS Panther Crew Set” (code 35107).

Not all the proposals of Alpine Miniatures are the best, the catalogue is very large and you can not expect that every new release is a masterpiece. Nevertheless, Alpine Miniatures often succeeds in the difficult task of creating figures that I would define as cinematic, so dynamic in their posture and fascinating in their overall appearance. The result is so intriguing that you want to buy them compulsively, even though the final result depends very much on the paint skills of the individual modeller.

The duo of German tankers in this set are, in my opinion, among the best subjects ever offered by Alpine Miniatures. Although protected by their winter uniforms and heavy gloves, the two soldiers seem to be whipped by a cold wind that lifts the edges of the fur hat of one of them. Looking towards the unknown element that has attracted their attention, the tank crews are busy handling the large 7.5 cm projectiles intended for the lethal cannons that equipped the “Panther” tanks. The resulting picture is simply spectacular.

The “WSS Panther Crew Set” is remarkable not only for the reasons described above but also for the original division of the pieces. The projectiles are sculpted as one with the hands that hold them. A naturalness near the perfection as the observer has the concrete feeling of the weight of the projectiles.

Everything is beautifully detailed and reproduced. The sculpture is precise in every element, including badges. As usual, the set offers two different heads for each figure allowing the modeller to choose the one he likes best.

Personally, I can’t find any fault with this Alpine Miniatures set, which I strongly recommend to buy even if it was marketed several years ago.
