A pochi passi dalla chiesa di Meyerode è custodito, in una piccola aiuola pubblica, questo eccellente Pak-40 da 75mm, il cannone anticarro più diffuso nell’esercito tedesco fin dalla seconda metà della guerra. L’esemplare è ben conservato nonostante sia esposto alle intemperie ed è facilmente rintracciabile essendo collocato lungo l’arteria principale che attraversa il paese.  La Presenza di questo Pak-40 nella città è probabilmente dovuta al fatto che qui fu istallato per qualche tempo il quartier generale della 6. SS-Panzer-Armee che fece di Meyerode un nodo nevralgico dell’offensiva tedesca durante i primi giorni della stessa.

Near the Church of Meyerode is located a Pak-40, the main anti-tank gun of the German army during the second half of the World War Second. The gun is in a good status notwithstanding it is not protected by the weather. It is very easy find it because this Pak-40 is visible from the main road through Meyerode where, during the first days of the Ardennes Offensive, was installed the headquarter of the 6. SS-Panzer-Armee.

Près de l’église de Meyerode est conservé un Pak-40, le principal canon antichar de l’armée allemande pendant la deuxième moitié de la dernière guerre mondial. Ce canon de 75mm est bien conservé malgré il n’est pas protégé des intempéries. Découvrir ce Pak-40 est très simple parce qu’il ce trouve sur la route principale qui traverse Meyerode qui, pendant les premiers jours de l’Offensive des Ardennes, fut le siège du quartier général de la 6. SS-Panzer-Armee.
