La serie animata giapponese “Urusei Yatsura” riveste un ruolo importante fra i cult con cui sono cresciuto. In Italia, la serie è conosciuta come “Lamù, la ragazza dello spazio” ed è stata trasmessa sin dagli anni ’80 su diverse reti nazionali, conquistando il cuore di molti fan italiani. Le ragioni sono molteplici e non si limitano alla comicità demenziale ed assurda di cui la serie è impregnata. Rumiko Takahashi è la più celebre e prolifica mangaka del Giappone. Oltre a “Urusei Yatsura”, ha creato altre opere di grande successo come “Maison Ikkoku”, “Ranma ½” e “Inuyasha”. The reasons are many and are not limited to the craziness and sense of absurd with which the series is filled. In addition to a successful mix of romantic comedy and science fiction, Rumiko Takahashi, author of the manga from which the cartoon is based, has been able to add a touch of eroticism that makes the work irresistible to audiences of any age. The hidden or expressed impulses of the various male characters are the cause of the most hilarious narrative turns also thanks to female characters who, never banal or stereotyped, know how to take advantage of their influence over the foolish males. A well-known embodiment of all that is certainly Lum, the female protagonist of “Urusei Yatsura“, whose “lively” character is represented by her iconic brindle bikini. It is precisely to the latter that the Urusei Yatsura “Lum” Full Color Mug is dedicated.
